Gardaland has revealed their plans for 2011 newest ride.
The current name is X-Raptor and it will be a new type of B&M.

This artwork looks like it could be Alton Towers previous secret weapon but it's not. (kinda like Thirteen)
The ride will contain some watereffects. The total length will be 800 meters and a max height of 30 meters.

This looks amazing!

Multi-dimension anyone? Or maybe a 'wing rider' style ride.

I am willing to turn a blind eye to poor safety regimes as long as they get the theming right. In Six Flags, we get neither.

Do correct me if im wrong, but this is what I think is happening:
B&M prototype heading towards gardaland for 2011 based on a wing rider concept, then the concept built on for the introduction of the same idea to Thorpe Park for 2012 with basically 4D seating, so that this time the parts of the wing individually spin?

But from that concept art it looks beautiful! Everyone loves water effects!

Have they started actual groundworks for this ride yet?

Not long till 2011 to build/theme/test etc.

Might have to go to Italy in 2011 though smile.gif

Ok, so Gardaland have confirmed their 2011 coaster is a new B&M, Heide Park have also announced a new 2011 coaster and Thorpe Park have semi-confirmed a new coaster for 2012 - one that could be up to 160ft tall.
With rumours flying around of a 3-coaster deal between Merlin and B&M, this could up being rather exciting! Further rumours suggest that Gardaland's new coaster will be developed in 2 stages - first of all with static 'wing-walker' style trains which, following testing, could be upgraded to full 4D spinning seats at a later date.
Fingers crossed! smile.gif

Indeed, but the other side of it - perhaps the selfish side of it - is that the park that has almost been the home of B&M in Europe, could be getting none of it.

Oh does it? Can't say I have seen it!!

Hoping for the 1.4m ride in 2013 that we get a decent make like B&M.
