Hi there!

Has anyone actually used a printed off BOGOF Sky voucher to get into Alton Towers?

I have printed it off but well, its clearly printed! Doesn't the voucher have to be from a sky magazine or something?

Am I supposed to cut out the voucher so it looks genuine or what!?!

Sorry for the questions but I don't want to go all the way there to find a have to pay full price!

Should be fine as it is, can cut it out if you want to. It's coming from the sky website, it wouldn't be on there if it was meant to come from a magazine. Print-your-own coupons are fairly common now.

There is a promotion called "GREAT DAYS OUT" that has just come out on GOODFELLA DELICA PIZZAS. It offers a limited number of free tickets to Alton Towers. You don't need to buy any other tickets - so its not a bogg off.

They are also offering access to reduced or free tickets from a wide range of attractions across the U.K (Sealife, London Dugeons, Thorpe Park, etc).

From what I can see you have to collect 7 codes to get free Alton Tower tickets and less codes for reduced prices at other attractions. What's also interesting is the codes can be redeemed for cash - just in case you don't fancy AT in all the rain!

Apparently if you text TICKET to 88833, you get a ticket code that allows you to get 2 tickets for the price of 1. You just show the code on entry. So it's the cost of a text, compared to the free Sky voucher, but this way you don't have to faff around with printing things off and taking them with you.

I'm not adding it to the page until someone can verify it's true though - so if anyone's heading that way in the next few days, give it a try and let us know! wink.gif

Saw the AT advert tonight. If you text TICKET to 88833 you get a text from AT with a code on it to get 2 for 1 entry into the park.

I dont know if I should put this here - someone let me know if this is the wrong place for it but here goes:

I have a promo code for 50% of hotel stays - just enter MILK as a promo code when booking your hotel stay.
Its come from a Sainsbury's Milk wrapper.

You are in the right place biggrin.gif
Are there some extra Terms and Conditions for the offer as I can't see any dates on the booking system when I can use the offer code, Ta for letting us know about it.

Thanks for letting me know this is in the right place biggrin.gif

I cant see anything on the voucher about an expiry date for the hotel part - it just states the following:

QUOTE
For 50% off Hotel rooms call 0870 066 2914 and quote MILK or visit www.altontowers.com and quote MILK

The end part being wrong because you have to go to the hotel site to book of couse tongue.gif

Just tried the MILK code for a September weeknight and it's accepted it no problems, showing 50% discount, Alton Towers Hotel B&B for 2 people totalling 63.50 smile.gif

Sunday 2nd September seems to be the first available night, then it looks like it runs through to the night of Friday 12th October (as Scarefest starts on the 13th this makes sense!).

lastminute.com are offering tickets at up to 50% off for Alton Towers at present, a good alternative to BOGOF's if you're in a odd-numbered grup smile.gif

16 tickets available for the first 100 tickets per day, then tickets available at 20 each so still a good saving.

2 x BOGOF vouchers in this week's (18th - 24th Aug) Heat magazine (heheh I was bored waiting for my train yesterday). Valid till 31st October, usual stuff applies (e.g. can't use for advance bookings etc). Can be used at Alton, Madame Tussauds London, Thorpe, Chessie and Sea Life centres.

Dunno when it leaves the shelves ready for next week's copy, so you'll probably have to get it tomorrow if you want the vouchers.

I have just noticed this new offer on the Annual Pass website:

QUOTE
Granny Nannies Enjoy the Ride at Alton Towers

Many parents will be breathing a sigh of relief that it’s ‘back to school’ for the kids, but working parents of pre-schoolers still need to rely on childcare, which for around two thirds of parents comes in the form of doting grandparents.*

In recognition of the ‘granny nanny’ phenomenon, Alton Towers have created a special package offering a grandparent and tot ticket for 12 on weekdays through September.

The ‘granny nanny’ ticket also includes free parking and free tea or coffee.

Alton Towers boasts a large number of attractions for families and pre-schoolers including new for 2007 ‘There’s Something in the Dung Heap’ adventure playground, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory™: The Ride, and the ever popular Squirrel Nutty ride.

Prices and Information
  • The granny nanny ticket costs 12 for a grandparent and toddler (child under 4 years old) and will be valid on weekdays during September.
  • The granny nanny ticket will be available to download and print from www.altontowers.com from Monday 3rd September.
  • Parking and one free hot drink is included

How do you prove that your a grandparent though? Surely, anyone (who looks the part) can take a kid, say its their grandchild, et voila - cheap entry ahoy. And what if you're a young looking grandparent?

I think currently there is an other in The Sun for FREE tickets to Thorpe/Alton. I think it's running till the end of the week, and you have to collect tokens. Sorry there's not much info on it this is all I know.
