Well how else are you going to do it? In order to put the disk in to install the game, you need a working disk drive.

There might be a way to fix it like to go into files on my computer or something? Like some disk drive area on my computer, but I'm not sure what to go on, or what to do. My disk drives don't read any disks!

You could go on another computer and copy the files from the disk to a memory stick, and stick it in.

BTW: Has to have alot of space on the stick.

Sorry about digging up another old topic, but i thought it best to put it in here rather than making a new topic.
Is there anyway you can make RCT2 run properly on Vista, because I have recently installed it but i cannot load any saved games?
Can any one help?
By the way i'm running Vista Home Basic.

I am willing to turn a blind eye to poor safety regimes as long as they get the theming right. In Six Flags, we get neither.

Dunno if it works but you could try:
Find the .exe
Right click -> Properties -> Compatibly -> Run program as compatible for Win Xp.
Worth a shot I guess.

Hmm, disk got any scratches on it?
You could always try using a different copy of the game?

Loads, but I have given it a clean and at least I can now install the 'minimum' version of the game.

You can get the deluxe edition (all add-ons) delivered for 5.73, or the basic version delivered for 1.99.

Or you can get it for free through illegal means, not that I condone illegal downloads.

If I remember rightly if you have already bought it and you cannot use it, you have the right to download another copy. As long as you aren't doing it in an effort to make profits. smile.gif
