ever woundered what alton towers would be like as a game.

I do.

It would be like the park itself but you control it. you can by land and change it and make new areas. and keep the park uprunning. and it gives you challenges to do over halloween, easter, christmas and all that.

what would you like

At first I thought that you meant a board game. As a computer game, I'm not sure it'd interest that many further than fans, so I'm not sure it'd sell particularly well. It sort of falls somewhere between a forum arcade game and a half-decent, bargain bin computer game.

It could work if it was a racing game where you race around the rides. It would be like a disneyland game I have, Disneyland Magical Racing Tours! tongue.gif

If disney can do it why can't Alton?

I imagine that'd look something like this Disney Monopoly board.

I've got that game! It's awesome, I always thought they should re-make it, or make another one on the same concept.

Magical Racing tours is great biggrin.gif

I love the haunted mansion level because there are loads of short cuts!

The pirate of the caribean level also has a short cut where you pass the people in prison and the dog with the keys!

Yep, you got into that short cut by going up the ramp top the left after you go into the town. Those are my favourite levels too. I also like Rock and Roller Coaster because of all the alternate routes it had.

Back on topic, It would certainly work well for AT.

I'm confused :S

Can't you play Alton Towers on RollerCoaster Tycoon 2? Maybe it's on one of the expansion packs but I'm sure I've played it before.

As far as I can remember, an RCT Alton Towers scenario was only available for download on RollerCoaster Tycoon (the original), and not RCT 2 or RCT3. However, some people have tried to recreate it, but these versions have not been released for download, to the best of my knowledge.

There's one for RCT3 I think.
You need a mighty powerful computer though, I couldn't run it.

http://www.freewebs.com/thealtontowersproject/download.htm

It looks pretty good. There's one ongoing at the atari forums. Come to think of it, it might be the one I've linked to :S...

I don't think an alton towers game would be good. There wouldn't be a lot to do and it wouldn't have to detail of the rct series...
Only benefit would be the scenery but that has been made by some people already.

Nope I don't think of it like that, because EVERYONE has heard of Alton Towers so it would bring in alot of buyers and not just fans either!
