I thought it would be a great idea to start a thread for new members to post a little bit about yourself.

Okay, let's make a start. I'm Jonathan, I'm 14, I live in the china clay area of Cornwall (St Austell). I have 2 brothers (who are pains in the neck, but I love them really!). I've only been to Alton Towers once (in May 2003!), but I'm going back in about May or June, and I can't wait! I've been on holidays to Istanbul, Paris, Barcelona, London, Derbyshire, Yorkshire (and hopefully even more!). I absolutely love rollercoasters (especially Alton Towers ones), and when I was in Spain, I went on Dragon Khan, one of the only rollercoasters in the world with 8 inversions. I also love watching Formula 1, but it isn't the same now that Michael Schumacher has gone. Well, in some ways, it's even better!

Well, that's me in a nutshell.

Dan? Is that you?

Lol, sorry, you just sound a bit like Dan, one of the moderators, with the whole liking F1 and no more MS guy.

Good idea for a topic, I am not new so don't think I will bother tongue.gif

I'm Dave, I was a fan of the Black Hole (and still am), although in general I'm frightened of coasters. I didn't make it to AT last season, but hope to go twice this year since I won a pair of undated tickets. I'm a student in Yorkshire, and my interests generally lie in technical things.

I'm Mike and I don't really have any interest in Rollercoasters or Theme Parks, I've just been a member on here for a stupidly long time.

I'm not new but I may as well say summot...

Hey I'm (another) Tom, I'm 23 and I am ATA's Assistant photographer and have been a member of ata since 2002 and joined the team in 2006. I live in Chesterfield, North Derbyshire and love themeparks, fast rides and even faster cars so that makes Rita and Oblivion my favorite rides in the park.

I'm Jayne, one of a handful of females on here. I'm 21, currently residing in Manchester but originally from (and will shortly be returning to) Stoke-on-Trent. I'm a lazy third year student doing a BSc Dual Hons degree in Management with Mathematics, and I also volunteer in the marketing and evaluation departments of The Manchester Museum. I'm a roller coaster nut but not a well travelled one. Most famed on here for taking a dramatic leap from random poster to meeting up with a load of members one day. Scary, but well worth it.

It was a long long time ago in a galaxy very far away... Han.

I've been here since before there was a forum, and I used to regually check the homepage for new information relating to my Year 10 Business Studies project tongue.gif Then the forum kicked off and I've been on here ever since.

I'm a Computing student by day, semi professional photographer by night/weekend.

Well....I'm Graeme and I'm from Hastings (dawn sarf). I love Alton but can't get there as much as I'd like. Some people would say I'm a Thorpe fanboy, but given the chance I'd visit Alton more. I am however a Stealth fanboy.

For my day job I pose as a Police officer smile.gif

Edited to change Policeman to Officer (Political correctness) tongue.gif

Hello, my name's Gemma and I'm an ATAholic.

Another one of the rare but treasured women. I'm 25, I have a sprog called Euan, and I work for HMRC. It's pants. I also enjoy a good debate, feel free to pick a fight.

I can't believe that I'm defining myself by my job. How did that happen? Definitely time for a change. And I can't think of anything more interesting to say about myself, which is worrying. I seem to have dropped all my hobbies, and I spend all my time working, cleaning and gazing at pixels.

Has it really taken an "introduce yourself" thread to make me realise just how dull I've allowed my life to become? Maybe the reason I get annoyed at everything all the time is simply because I'm in a rut and it's frustrating.

Right. Give me two months. Someone set a reminder in their phone or something. Ask me then what I've done to change things, becasue this state of affairs cannot be allowed to continue.

(I'll feel better about it tomorrow, and forget to change anything.)

Hi, my names Randy, I am new here but over the few days I have been lurking I have learned a lot.

My day job is operating a bouncy castle at my local Butlins, on the evening I am a dustman.

Well, I've been on here for a bit - albeit not posting very often - but anyway.
I'm Caroline, 14, and I live in south Leicestershire. I visit Alton roughly once a year, unfortunately I didn't get to go last year but instead went to Thorpe for the first (and currently only) time. I enjoy writing and fashion designing and am quite obsessed with animals. I love cooking and holiday in Devon or Dorset, the latter one this year. I also play the guitar and attempt to sing.
So I guess that's me in a nut shell.
