modroc is a plaster based bandage wrap like what is used when u plaster up ur arm in hospital but a lot cheaper and more more modeling than that... price wise is varying depending on where u can get it from, some places like where i used to get it from (hobby craft) charged 1.50 or so a pack... but going to other places, say here for example, http://www.artesaver.co.uk/acatalog/Modroc.html, 89p a pack or buying in bulk makes it even cheaper each time...

That's pretty awesome, I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to sell that for some pretty top wonga too. A shame to let it go but it could be a nice little earner!

I can't seem to find anywhere selling artroc/modroc for a decent price (when hideous postage is taken into account...)

Can I paypal/transfer a fiver to you, so you can buy it the usual way? PM me if that's OK. smile.gif

This is amazing! I understand this is on YouTube aswell and its taken over a year so far. I have the CoasterDynamix Scorpion set which I can't get working! You shoud try and get some sort of reconition from the park once you have finished because I am sure they would be very intrested with your work.

yeh its on youtube, my channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/coasterinc and as for your unworking model, try and get some silicone spray from halfords, works a treat... and thanks for thinking its good but, dunno if alton towers would be that interested in it, coz got a feeling its too inaccurate for them, will have to wait for a while yet and see how it all looks when done...

unfortunatly i dont think that cam would work, coz it needs connecting straight to a recording device... i have thought about cam for the front of it, coz it would be great to do, but either a wireless transmitting and recieving units, or a whole mini recording unit, but they are quite pricey...

if i could afford it, something like this would most likly be ideal http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=256541

I'm not sure how big the train is, but if you can fit a 9V battery on, this sort of thing might work well: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mini-Wireless-Spy-Co...emZ350303945432

Why not buy it to see if you like it? As far as I am aware Maplin have the same sort of policy as Argos, if you do not like it take it back.

Judging by the end results of that guy's video, it's really not worth doing! You butcher an entire train for some awful footage you don't really need...

Exactly what I was about to say, unless you can get a tiny wireless camera that will record about 100fps it's really not going to be worth even thinking about that option. Awesome model though!

HI! sorry its been a year since i posted, but new year, new ethusiasm and finally found a good spay paint to cover the track so will get it done quicker and better... waiting on rails to come back in stock which is said to be 8-10 weeks so no more running till i get them... but it will be a running painted model as soon as i can...

heres a quick update on how the painting is going, as you can see some track sections have been removed and not put back up yet, left the stall turn off coz still thinking how to move the loop to paint it... and the final turn is still off due to it being altered to have a bank on it, which in theory should loose less speed than the flat turn and will let it run better once i get the new rails (which you can also see most of the track is also missing rails coz of waiting on the new ones...)
