I hope its a family sized coaster like the last one because there are not many coasters in the park for families. Theres the corkscrew which is painful but thats about it.

What about spinball and RMT? Alton has 3 family coasters to 4 thrill coasters, seems a pretty good balance to me.

Proper spelling and grammar in forum posts.

But seriously, I think a simulator would go well there are could suit the area theme well.

With all space, that would be one hell of a simulator!

I don't understand why they got rid of the Black Hole in the first place. It was my 2nd favourite ride in the park. Was excellent and quite fast. Let's hope they replace it sometime soon preferably with a new coaster.

Was too expensive to maintain and I believe it wouldnt meet newer tougher health and safety laws and they would have had to have built a exit staircase leading down the lift hill incase of emergencies.

Personally, I think the Black Hole tent would make a great place for all the smokers to gather and puff away to their hearts content! Could even quite easily fit a bar in there to have a few pints! Heck, why not just turn it into a big night club!

Somehow I don't think that fits in with the family appeal Merlin are going for! tongue.gif

A good scary flat ride will do me there, as that is meant to be the most thrilling ride of the park.

StarTours at Disneyland Paris is huge. With about 8 big simulator carriages.

That ride will do, doesn't take up much space and is a awesome ride. Anyone been on it at a local fair?

The tent is only about 65ft tall, of-course it wouldn't. Plus, it has low capacity, and is too fairground like. Plus it's for hard-core thrill seekers, a market Alton isn't catering for, for a few years yet.
