I don't see any need to be hush-hush about it now... there were plans for the Black Hole tent in 2008, there would have been a Eurofighter, and plans were pretty much ready to go. Just before the plan reached fruition, Merlin took over and decided that the Eurofighter was better suited to Thorpe and we got Mutiny Bay instead.

Yeah, though it would've been a fun ride, but I'm glad it never happened. Mainly 'cos I really don't like Eurofighters.

I kind of agree. Not a huge fan of them myself either. It'd be nice to see another dark wet ride in the UK, maybe like Valhalla, on a smaller scale? That could replace the flume and we could get a new coaster in its place.
Unlikely but a dark wet ride is always nice.

Wonder if we'll see a coaster in here in a season or two afterall considering SW6 seems to have gone a bit Pete Tong.

That ride will do, doesn't take up much space and is a awesome ride. Anyone been on it at a local fair?

This is a Fabbri Spin Doctor attraction and is a fantastic and very thrilling flat ride indeed! blush.gif Blackpool Pleasure Beach had two of these side bu side at one point. This attraction comes to my local fair every year and is fantastic to ride. No way would Alton Towers get this in the first place. Over tree heigh in my opinion and way too big for the Black Hole tent!

Height restrictions aside, one of the reasons that Blackpool got rid of the Spin Doctor was due to really slow through-put. Fairs have high charges for these sort of rides, and hence there's never a huge queue. In a theme park situation, there's only capacity for 8 people for a 3-minute-ish ride, so queues would be huge all the time.

Yes, that is very true. I can remember people tutting and getting angry at the wait time for Spin Doctor in Blackpool. You making this point, it now just makes me think why does Theme Parks bother with this type of flat ride anyway?! wacko.gif

Hhm not a bad idea, however - Submission would need to have some excellent indoor sound, lighting and effects for it to work - maybe create a preshow type ride for it.

Also - energiser would need to be run as it was originally, when it was hard core. smile.gif

either put a simulator in the tent, or maybe a waltzer in the dark. if not, tear down the rent and build a tower drop ride

hmm,

even if AT didnt do anything with the tent and left it, it doesnt look halfbad, and adds nicely to the themeing, then again, a nice new coaster would be great in there!

Simulators are very "Disney" and to be honest, they are the only people who have mastered it and made it work. I bet if Alton Towers added a simulator in the Black Hole tent would awful.
A new roller coaster is needed in that tent; maybe even a sort of ride simular to Euro Sat at Europa Park would work. They could even name it Black Hole: Next Generation so the legend carries on!

I think it would make a good Audatorium or Theatre.

Because the Madame Tussauds audatorium is barely used and as it is the same company owning both so could use the same concept.

Dunno what you guys think of that.
