How would you feel about uploading The Ladybird Book of Alton Towers? I know it's a (deleted) publication but there's no more substance to it than these guides. If you'd like I have a copy I can scan...

QUOTE (Yeah 7 @ Jan 25 2008, 09:44 PM) *
That front cover is a better photoshop than the current batch.

And makes those of us who visited during the 80s come over all squishy and nostalgic.

Just thought I'd share a couple of things I have.

I hope these work, 'cause I'm relatively useless with uploading images into the Almanac:

Overview of a couple of things:

Close up of a couple:

Funny how one of the guides is coloured:

Look at this map from 1982 - it's pretty detailed:

and the reverse:

*Black Hole
*Congo River Rapids
*Runaway Mine Train
*The Haunted House\Haunted House
*Duel
*Oblivion

but don't worry i've rebuilt some of the ride photos. BTW, the alton towers dvd's great i've taken some screen snaps while watching.

Thought this was the ideal topic to add this post to. I'm having a clear out at the moment and found all of my alton towers memorabilia. See below! I have been collecting this for about 15 years:

I want to find a new home for it all, therefore everything above is for sale here. Click to see all the items pictured above.

My most prized / rare items:

Alton Towers Nemesis Coca Cola Drink 1994
Bolliger & Mabillard signed roller coaster brochures
Alton Towers Oblivion Mug in original box
Alton Towers Maps and Leaflets from 2000-2005
Alton Towers Souvenir Guide Books circa 1960s &bookmark
Alton Towers Thunderlooper sugar puffs game
Alton Towers article RCCGB Airtime Issue 10 Mar/Apr 98 - Oblivion coverage
Alton Towers 1994 tickets

Cheers
Rory
