Pick your favourite Tussauds theme park on the basis of theme.

Personally Chessington World of Adventures.
It has best themed areas and lots of features to keep your eyes busy.

I think overall, theming AT is actually as good as Chessington. Alton has areas of sparse theming, but so does Chessington - I mean Dragons Fury is landscaped well, but not really much theming going on. Chessington has standout areas like Rameses/Tomb Blaster - but a lot of the theming is jaded even more than that at Towers: Dragon Falls, for one.

Alton has the Mine Train, Gloomy Wood, Nemesis, Hex, the fantastically themed farm (which people often look over), Squirell Nutty etc,. which are very well themed.

"Technically" none of them are Tussauds parks anymore. happy.gif

Alton. Nemesis and Hex make a mockery of the other two on the poll. smile.gif

He probably did mean theming - they're both very well-themed rides, and I believe are unmatched by the other two parks. smile.gif I voted Alton.

I am sorry i obviously didn't make myself clear.

lets say the three parks had no rides and just the themeing. Then base it on themeing.

Ok maybe that was a little too harsh.

Nemesis and Hex are bloody theming. Not many rides are housed in an alien monster and not many rides are hidden by a castle. Anywho to answer your question (if we are going by area theming as you so harshly put it) I'd say chessington. Alton's is grander but theres a lot of dead spots (walk from Gloomy Wood to Forbidden Valley or Merrie England to Katanga Canyon). Chessington is more consistent with areas broken up by landmarks such as archways, rockwork, buildings etc.

Alton Towers is by far the superior park out of the 3. I just wish they had more toilets sad.gif

Thorpe Park has the most potential.

Alton Towers is only ever going to go backwards.

Chessington suffers from an identity crisis.

Makes me happy that places like IOA and WDW and TDR exist. wub.gif

Thorpe park has potential alright but fails on the most basic needs of a theme park.

i.e. The theme. Thorpe park will never be great with its attitude and themes.

Alton has gone down in my opinion in the last few years. It is too going to become like thorpe park if it dosn't stick to its themes.

Chessington is the best for themes. You can tell what the theme is by just walking into the area without having to look at the map.
Chessington does need to aim to become a Thrill Seekers and a Family attraction. Unforuntaly its not getting the most out of its potential. Chessingotn has much space to expand and become yet again become one of the best UK theme parks.

Where are Port Aventura and Heide Park?

They're missing from the poll.

Anyway, I would say Port Aventura is obviously the best.
