Just scouting round the internet and found these old on ride photos!

Whats cool is the person hasn't only scanned the actual photos but also the fronts of the covers

Oh how they have changed smile.gif

I have ride photos of Log Flume and Black Hole from the late 80s somewhere.
As well as a BH pic from '96, it has the same cover as that one on the link u put up Chris.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pron surfed, weak and weary,
Over many a strange and spurios pronsite of 'hot XXX galore',
While I clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning,
And my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour.
"Tis not possible!", I muttered, "give me back my free hardcore!"

It did, from 1997 until 2000, when the photo equipment was moved to Corkscrew smile.gif - just too late for me to get a picture from my first ride (April 6th, 2000) smile.gif

Yeah, if I remember correctly it was removed because the photo was taken at the end of the ride? so people were just smiling?

1997 Nickelodeon Outta Control tongue.gif

2000 Oblivion (so what?)

Unfortunately my scanner broke sometime ago, so there wont be any "Antique Outta Control" scans :'( (I know how desperate you are to see me when I was 9 blink.gif )

I love onride photos and have almost twenty, I think thats quite good considering I only started getting them regularly a couple of years ago. I don't have many of Alton Towers: Oblivion, Log Flume Unplugged, Congo River Rapids and Nemesis.

Nobody bought them because they where rubbish.

The photo was taken at the end of the ride, in the stationary position.

I don't think the photos were that popular because the photos were not that good, as you can imagine is was quite hard to a take a photo of the ride in motion so I was originally just a still shot of after the ride had ended and then a shot of the ride in the 'lowering to water' shot was added, but on that it was just one big photo that was not that clear.

I'm not sure if the same eqipment was used, but I think the year Ripsaw photos ended, they appeared on Corkscrew.

Nope, Corkscrews are a completely different set.

The old Ripsaw equipment is now on RMT.

The Ripsaw Relics Arcade (I think its the Ripsaw Cafe/Bar now) was purpose built as a photo shop.

And between it being a photo shop and a cafe, it housed arcades for a while, and a ripsaw dryer for end of one season, (i think that dryer is now the one in cariba creek)

Was it themed? Only I think the shell is still in the 'knackers yard'.
