Hi, I'm new to this ATA thing and I have seen many recs of Alton Towers, so I thought I would give it a go and see what I can do.

Just so you know, you will need:

Shyguy's Circus Center Set
Caffinated's Ariel Letters
DarkRidePerson's DRP Lightz!
Iceatcs' Timberframe Set
Shyguy's Expo 3000 Set
Shyguy's Main Street Set
Iceatcs' Curved Slide Supports
Iceatcs' Brand Name Logos
Marnetmar's Egyptian Themeing
Pumper's SteelWorx
Pumper's MouseWorx
Shyguy's Main Street Set 3
Vodhin's Vermont Theme
Harlekins Wand Set 1
Shyguy's Main Street Set 2
Vodhin's Lighting Kit

Park Novice's Alton Towers Pack
Battor77's enceintes
Battor77's projecteurs
Phil (Frogee's) Rock Walls
Phil (Frogee's Triangular Supports

Marnetmar's Leftoverz
Klinn's Framework & Arches Set
Battor77's Objects de Travaux
Lulujarre's Rock 'n' RollerCoaster set (featuring Aerosmith)

That's an awful amount of Custom Scenery so make sure you get these from vodhin.net
Updates will be posted as and when necessary. I will try not to make the download (including the custom scenery) exceed 20MB. If the .zip flie does exceed 20MB then it should be no more than 30MB. If it is, then I'm sorry to those dial-up users

Hi all, for all those that are interested, I have finished the entrance plaza bit (monorail station house, monorail, and the entrance gate) and I am starting Towers Street. As soon as I have finished, I will post some pics up. If there is anything you find wrong with the rec, even if it is a tiny little thing, then tell me and I'll edit it straight away and post and updated pic. All the scenery listed will be included in the download, so don't worry on spending ages downloading all the scenery, but you can if you want to. There will be pics of my progress so far in a while, so be patient and you can see my (what I think) amazing work. (Not to brag or anything).

As Promised, here are a few pics of my work so far:

Yeh hi. Not being nasty or out but just a little bit of advice. The buildings are too big and all the colours are wrong. Hope it helps smile.gif

Hi everyone, I have finally finished Towers Street, and pics will be avaliable in due course. I hope that the buildings are the right size and colour now. I don't like people that go on and on about things and you may have all heard this before but due to the limitations of RCT3, I'm not able to do a 100% accurate rec i.e. exact colour of the Towers Street buildings or the size of them, but it should near enough look like the real thing.

Haggath - I just had a look for more Alton Towers rec and I found these pics and the colour of the buildings are almost identical to mine. Thanks for the tip though smile.gif

My Towers Street - Check the colours of the buildings

EDIT - Colours are almost the same as real life and I might be re-starting on my Alton rec park again

That's really good. But I still believe that mine is ok. It may not be completely, 100% amazingly accurate, but just as long as the peeps (not RCT3 ones) get a feel for the park I'm fine. No-one in the world can do a 100% accurate rec of Alton Towers because it just isn't possible on RCT3.

That looks so amazing, just like the real thing almost. I read your thread and I'm sorry to hear what happened to your rec. Too bad you have no more photos cos those could be a real help to anyone trying to do a Alton Towers rec. I saw that you put a lot of work into that and you must be very very disappointed and annoyed. But as I always say: "When one door closes, another opens". You should try again and see if you can do better and beat what you did last time. Amazing try though.

As promised, here are some links to my completed Towers Street (Now the other buildings are in, it doesn't look too bad. The only thing looking rubbish it Towers Family Restaurant, but I'll change that later)

The big path on the right hand side of the third pic, is the path leading into Old MacDonald's Farmyard

Hey guys,

You know what, I'm fed up of everyone's Alton Towers recreations dying and/or lagging (if they manage to complete it that is). So I've devised a simple plan. This may sound stupid but, I'm gonna change from doing this park on RCT3, to doing it on RCT2. Now the way it's gonna work is, I'm gonna find as much custom scenery as possible for RCT2 and then make the park. Unfortunately I only have Wacky Worlds and not Time Twister so it's gonna be a little harder. But nevertheless I think I'll be able to pull it off. I look forward to hearing your comments.

Your fed up? wink.gif

Your not the one who spent around a whole year working on something and then it breaks when you complete it!

Good luck with RCT2, Looking forward to see what you can do with it.

I didn't mean this in a bad way Sawyer and I truely am sorry about what happened to ur rec but when I say I'm fed up I'm talking on everyone elses behalf as well. I was going to add that in but I forgot to edit the post and didn't get round to doing it in the end.

Ok. I have finished The Entrance and Towers Street (actually finished them last night) so here are the links to some pics:

I think, because your RCT3 version of Alton Towers was so good Sawyer, that you should do one for RCT2 instead. That way you won't have to worry about the file breaking or lag. I think that'll be a good idea, because then we could share ideas. I'd advise that you don't use expansion packs as this'll make the park avaliable to everyone that has RCT2

I didn't want to completely give up on my RCT3 version of Alton Towers, so in my spare time, I'll carry on with that one and see how far I get. I'm adding to it right now. As the pics above show, I have fully completed The Entrance Plaza and Towers Street. I am now doing Old Macdonald's Farmyard, so pics MAY be posted tonight if possible. If not then I'll post links to pics as soon as I finish Old Macdonald's Farmyard. smile.gif

After working for almost three hours straight on Old Macdonald's Farmyard, I think that it is time for some pics. Here are some links to my pics of Old Macdonald's Farmyard:
